Chocolate Mousse Lips

I’m making chocolate lip balm right now – waiting for the beeswax, etc., to melt.

Several people have asked to have it back on the Verdae menu, one of whom is my dear sweet Charlotte who lives in France.

Lip balm, like soap and cake mixes can also be bought already mixed.  Just melt it up, flavor it and label it and you too can say, ‘I made my own lip balm”  I’m a bit of a purist in the kitchen which is where I make all my soaps, butters and balms and I enjoy doing things the long, if old-fashion way.  I love the mixing and blending and trying new ideas – sometimes at the last minute.  For instance – tonight I wanted to make a chocolate mint lip balm but decided against it because I have customers that like it just the way it is – thank you very much!  So, sometimes I do curb my appetite for new adventures.  Besides for every new product I make I have to come up with a new label.

What a story that is – labels.  My printer is the bane (spelling?) of my existence.  IT is extraordinarily tempermental especially if I use paper that is not specifically for laser printers.  It’s taken me a really long time to figure this small detail and acquiesce.  For now I make all of my own labels – we’re talking about 75 labels here, and I am not what you’d call publisher literate.

However, I’ve learned to use what I have available and make it work – which happens to be Microsoft works template manager.

I don’t have cable tv or satellite so I am not bombarded by the news media – I am so sorry for friends and family of those injured/killed at the base in Texas.  What a trajedy.

Have to go tend to the chocolate mousse lips!
