Heading to Whole Foods

I told my sister that if she comes to GA from OH we may be making soap….instead of turkey!!!  The last few months of the year are our busiest time with shows, fairs, sales etc.  I love meeting my customers face to face and chatting about their questions and concerns.

So often people ask what they can do for eczema or psoriasis.  I’m not a doctor – was married to one at one time but that’s a whole “nother” story.

The causes of these two skin disorders are largely unknown.  Can be anything from environmental allergies such as cleaning fluids, laundry detergent, household pollution, dust mites and stress.  My personal vote is the latter – that nasty thing we all deal with STRESS!

Several customers have come back to me saying that our beer soap is the only thing they’ve ever tried that had a positive impact on their eczema.  Doctors typically give their patients cortisone cream and Dove free – the Dove people have all the dermatologists in the country thinking they make the best soap for our skin – not so.  But they have more corporate dollars to spend on wooing the health care industry, sound familiar???  Reminds me that I’m still doing battle with the insurance companies to right the injustice of denying me insurance for a vitamin B12 deficiency- that’s a vitamin folks, what’s next?

Oh yea, my post was about Whole Foods.  We’re meeting with Whole Foods in Atlanta on Saturday to discuss the possibility of selling Verdae products through Whole Foods – wouldn’t that be great!  I was at a farmer’s market 2 weeks ago at Whole Foods Briarcliff when I was asked if I would consider selling my products through Whole Foods – I fell on the ground – (at least in my head…) composed myself and said yes, indeed, we would love to be considered.

So, we could be going into high gear production in a few weeks – I hope so!

  1. Suzanne … that Whole Foods thing is tremendous! Best of success with this … I will pray that this turns out for the best for you and yours. Also, interesting news on the beer soap and eczema. I have two friends who suffer from this and I will pass on the news (and perhaps a bar or two!).

  2. Well I finally got here!

    Great news sis!
Sounds very encouraging and in line with what happens when you do things “right”.
All the best to you for success with WFM.
Your bees post was entertaining. Felt like a be nice to bees week thing.
