My Maserati

I admit to being a bit of a car buff.  Probably started when my brother tore apart an MG in our garage/basement when I was in single digits.  I’ve loved unusual cars ever since.  My brother in law has offered to outfit a 1948 Willy’s Jeep panel truck for me for my Verdae business – can’t wait!!!

The best and first car I ever had was a Mercury Capri – cost me a lot of money to keep it going but I loved driving a 5 speed, and it really could turn on a dime.  It bit the dust when I began working for a wealthy family who was embarassed by my old red – it had been wrecked in to in front of my house a few months prior.  They bought a Chevy Blazer so I could cart their beautiful little blond kids to and fro.

But, I digress…

Today I visited Whole Foods #4 in Atlanta to sell my products.  Several times I’ve noticed, in different Whole Foods parking lots that there are a number of rather expensive cars.  Today was no exception.  As I walked out of the store toward my car, I noticed a Maserati.  A man in a red plaid jacket excitedly asked, “is that your car?”  I was secretly pleased that I presented well enough today that he would think such a thing – although he was wearing a red plaid jacket…       I responded “I wish”!  He went on to say that it was just like his Maserati except he had never seen that interior and he just absolutely loved it.

These Italian cars cost upwards of $100,000 – no lie, that’s five zeros.  If I had that kind of money to blow on a vehicle maybe I’d wear a plaid jacket too.
